I love the way this square works up in 3- colors. This is a really cool pattern and I think it would make a stunning afghan in mixed colors - I just don't have the patience to make it myself.
That looks so cool in the 3 colors! It looks great in a single color, too and now I have another square to try out! :) I was thinking (oh, no! right? LOL) that if you wanted to make an afghan, you could make one using this square as a focal point, but fill in with regular granny squares, or even other squares that aren't as "3 dimensional" and it would still look great! One of the cool things about making an afghan with squares is you can just do up a square or two when the mood strikes, save up the squares, and when you have enough just hook 'em together! All of the sudden - viola! An afghan!!
